What AI cannot do
Therapy is not just listening. It has no memory between sessions unless you provide context, and it has no genuine understanding of what you're going through.
The real risk
The danger is not that people use AI to process their thoughts — that can be genuinely helpful. The danger is when AI becomes a substitute that prevents someone from seeking professional support they actually need.
